Stallone, Statham & Lundgren Covered In Blood In New EXPENDABLES 3 Set Photos
The Daily Mail has some great photos from the set of Expendables 3 that features Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham, covered in blood. Only one that looks unscathed is newcomer to the franchise, Wesley Snipes.
Over the past few days, Expendables 3, has been filming at a shipyard on the Port of Varna, Bulgaria. Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes were all spotted on set. As you can see in the pictures below, the actors, most covered in blood, took a short break from filming to receive gifts from the mayor of the coastal city of Varna.
Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
EXPENDABLES 3 - Patrick Hughes ("Red Hill") will direct the film, from a screenplay written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt and Sylvester Stallone. The cast features: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to their roles. Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford join the all-star cast along with Kellan Lutz, MMA star Ronda Rousey, welterweight boxing champion Victor Ortiz and Glen Powell. It shoots into theaters August 15, 2014.
