Almost exactly a year after its original trailer launch, Universal Pictures has released a brand new look at Simon Kinberg's upcoming spy thriller, The 355, which seems to borrow elements from both Mission: Impossible and Jason Bourne while adding its own kickass twist.

The all-star cast features 2x Academy Award-nominee Jessica Chastain (X-Men: Dark Phoenix; Zero Dark Thirty), Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong'o (Black PantherStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), Diane Kruger (Inglourious BasterdsNational Treasure), Academy Award-winner Penélope Cruz (Vanilla SkyPirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), and Bingbing Fan (X-Men: Days of Future Past; Iron Man 3) in the lead roles.

According to the synopsis, the film will see a CIA agent (Chastain) joining forces with one of her fiercest rivals (Kruger) to recruit a former MI6 computer specialist (Nyong'o) and a Colombian psychologist (Cruz) to embark on a life-or-death mission to recover a top-secret weapon. Their job gets even more difficult when they find themselves being hunted by a mysterious woman (Fan), who has been tracking them from the beginning.

Sebastian Stan (Avengers: Endgame; The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Édgar Ramírez (Jungle CruiseBright) co-star.

Check out the new trailer below:

When a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, wild card CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown (Oscar®-nominated actress Jessica Chastain) will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie (Diane Kruger, In the Fade), former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Oscar® winner Penélope Cruz) on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one-step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng (Bingbing Fan, X-Men: Days of Future Past), who is tracking their every move.

As the action rockets around the globe from the cafes of Paris to the markets of Morocco to the opulent auction houses of Shanghai, the quartet of women will forge a tenuous loyalty that could protect the world—or get them killed.

Thought this movie came out like a year ago already. Kinda reminds me of the Hitman's Bodyguard, meaning I'll watch it on tv sometime

Shows why a female Bond movie wouldn't be anywhere near as successful. Generic yawnfest. Next.

@MarvelousMarty - Don't see how this shows that or is in anyway related to Bond. But regardless, Bond is a character not a title and as such should stay a man.

I'll probably catch it when it drops on TV. It feels like this movie should have come out about 10-15 years ago. I like the cast.

Im always up for some girl power movies, but ever since John Wick came out, the lineup of female versions of the concept has just watered down the idea of action women.

Then again, this does look like something to watch; even though I never understand casting, Lupito's British accent seems off, some so many talented black British actors could have done this role.

Anyway, it's women, so I don't want to knock the opposite sex cause they can do what we do better.

I think I've contradicted myself throughout my comments...The power of women!!
