BboiBlack, not that I'm defending these movies because the first one was a load of shite..BUT, it knows it's a load of shite. Bay's movies actually attempt to get you to take them seriously to a point, and properly engage with the story/characters. That's the difference.

it's cool that a character he developed for the Spy Kids Franchise, then crossed over to grindhouse/planet terror and now into two of his own movies. however having alexa vega who was his niece in the spy kids movies. now trying to kill him as a completely different character in machete kills is [frick]ing weird man.

@BboiBlack - Yeah there is a difference between these movies and Michael Bay's movies. Michael Bay actually tries to make serious movies but fills them with bad dialogue and half naked women. Machete is not supposed to be serious and is sort of a parody of big time blockbusters such as Bay's films.
