THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Arriving On Blu-Ray/DVD December 4th; Special Features Revealed
After some revealing images from the UK this past week, WB Home Entertainment have officially announced that Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will hit Blu-ray and DVD December 4th! Including a list of special features and much more, check it out!
Earlier this week, we brought you some images for the UK release of The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD, but now, official word from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment confirms a December 4th US release. IGN have a list of special features, box art and more from the yet to be seen press release, including the announcement of The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset (out Dec. 4th) and an Ultimate Collectors Edition of the trilogy, which is set to hit next year. The site also mentions that the film will feature a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack for both the DVD and Blu-ray and that scenes shot in IMAX will change aspect ratio to 1.43:1 on the Blu-ray! The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.
The Dark Knight Rises hits DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th. The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Colltiard.
