New Details On BATMAN v SUPERMAN's Big "Dream Sequence" And Ben Affleck's Bat-Voice
We now know where exactly that Darkseid themed dream sequence in Batman v Superman is set, while new details have been revealed about Ben Affleck's Bat-voice, and much more.
The magazine goes on to confirm that it takes place in the fictional nation of Kandahar, with "Batman...shouldering a machine gun, walks unbowed through the blizzard to greet an armoured juggernaut pulling up in a desert compound that's walled with rusty containers." They also describe the entire sequence as "pure Mad Max", but don't shed any light on what Darkseid might have to do with it or why Bruce might be having premonitions of his impending arrival on Earth.
More interesting Batman related reveals to come from the magazine include executive producer Deborah Snyder confirming that, "Batman's voice is digitally altered by the cowl." That's pretty much what we all suspected after that recent TV spot, and this is a surprising direction to take things in after the way previous Batman movies have handled the voice situation (it's also pretty close to what Oliver Queen does in Arrow, oddly enough). Anyway, it's also mentioned that the Caped Crusader's foes are locked up in Arkham Asylum and that Jeremy Irons' Alfred Pennyworth is a butler "when required", but will actually be a lot more "hands-on" in this movie. He also has a special-ops background.
So, some interesting stuff here, but for more, be sure to pick up the latest issue of Empire!
