BLACK WIDOW Set Photos Reveal When At Least Some Of The Movie Is Set...And It's Not the 1990s!

We've been under the impression that Black Widow is an origin story set in the 1990s but some newly surfaced set photos point to a much different setting for the upcoming Marvel Studios movie...

Black Widow is shooting in Budapest, Hungary right now, and photos from the set have already revealed a first look at Taskmaster(?) But as interesting as those images may be, some eagle eyed fans have now noticed that the vehicle Natasha Romanoff is driving appears to reveal the movie's setting.

Up until now, we've been under the impression that this spinoff would be set during the 1990s, but the car below has been identified as a 2017 BMW 5 Series Touring Wagon.

That would place Black Widow squarely between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, something we have heard mentioned in the past. As a result, it appears as if those reports about the movie revolving around the Y2K virus and Natasha being recruited by Hawkeye and Nick Fury were incorrect (it is, of course, feasible that some of this adventure will be set in that period).

With Comic-Con right around the corner, here's hoping we get some answers soon!
