VENOM: Marvel Comics Releases New Trailer For Upcoming Relaunch Of The Symbiote's Solo Series
Some big changes are coming to the world of Venom in next month's relaunch, and Marvel Comics has released a trailer featuring tonnes of new artwork with hints about what fans can expect from the series.
Following Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman's memorable Venom run, Marvel Comics' resident master of horror, Al Ewing, and titan of terror Ram V are teaming up with The Ultimates artist Bryan Hitch for an all-new saga featuring the iconic symbiote.
Described as a mind-bending and gut-wrenching tale of symbiosis that chronicles two journeys, the series follows Eddie Brock into space to fulfil his new duties as King in Black, and his son Dylan Brock while he tackles his new role as a superhero.
The two adventures will intertwine to create a singular and epic new vision, and a first taste of what’s to come is revealed in the all-new Venom #1 trailer, featuring never-before-seen artwork.
"When my editors at Marvel reached out about taking on Venom alongside Al Ewing and Bryan Hitch, I was not prepared for the kind of creative thrill it has been ever since," Ram V says.
"This story is going to expand and push the symbiote narrative and lore in even more unexpected and fantastic directions," the artist adds. "It is also an utter thrill having the sort of call and response mechanic I’ve had with a writer like Al and an artist of Bryan’s caliber. Fans and new readers, strap in—you ain’t seen nothin’ yet."
Twice the terrifying symbiotes. Twice the terrific writers. One amazing artist. Venom #1 sounds like a must-read on October 27, and there's bound to be a lot of interest in the series following the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage early next month (our review goes live on September 30).
