DEADPOOL 2 Star Josh Brolin Reveals Four Movie Arc For Cable And Teases His "Finite" Future As Thanos
Josh Brolin reveals that Cable is going to be around for the long haul (well, until that Disney deal goes through, I guess) while he also teases his future - or lack thereof - as Avengers villain Thanos.
However, in a new interview, the actor has revealed that he was convinced to sign on to play Cable after being told that the studio has a four movie arc in mind for the mutant, something he may never get chance to see through. "We think about it in four movie terms. We tried to think of Cable as a full arc, not just in this movie, but in the trajectory of four films. That made it a lot more fun for me."
Like many other Marvel movies produced by Fox, it's a shame we'll probably never see them become a reality but it is, of course, possible that Disney will choose to keep the franchise alive in its current form while rebooting the X-Men separately. As for what happens with Thanos, it definitely sounds like he won't be sticking around for the long haul after Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 are released.
"I don't like the idea of a franchise, personally," Brolin added in regards to being signed up to Deadpool. "That's what makes the Thanos thing really great. It's a finite thing, and I like that."
