It appears as though the director's chair for the highly anticipated Deadpool sequel is up for grabs. According to Deadline, director Tim Miller has exited Deadpool 2, which has already been slated for a January 2018 release.

They've learned that Miller himself chose to leave the project due to "mutual creative differences" with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. Also, while Miller was developing the script for the film, he never officially signed on to direct Deadpool 2, so while it was assumed he'd be back in the director's chair, there was never any guarantee. The trade goes on to add that Miller's departure was amicable, and that Fox still has their eyes set on Miller potentially directing a future project, namely an adaptation of the David Suarez novel Influx.

Deadpool made quite the impression on fans worldwide and ultimately became a box office behemoth, breaking several records, something that not many expected due to its R-Rating, so the idea of Miller not returning for the sequel may not sit well with fans.

What do you think about Tim Miller's departure from Deadpool 2?
