i have noticed a lot of articles about who should direct and who should play superman and who should write the screenplay i have never read any article about the music which is one of the key ingredients to a superman film it gives it the feeling it makes it more suspenseful i was wondering who do you think should write a new superman theme and score or do you think they should keep the original. here is a list who i think should compose and write the music.

John ottman - i liked his superman returns score

Hans zimmer - his new batman score is really good it captures the tone of the character and film

David arnold - his score's are always good

Michael giacchino - loved his star trek score i think he would be a good choice

David newman - his score's can always capture how the characters feel at the moment

Craig armstrong -

James newton howard -

those are my selections tell me what you think the reason why john williams is not up there is because i dont think he would want to do his score again or create a different one.

Either get Williams back, or get Giacchino.

I don't it should even be a question, John Williams created the greatest theme with superman that has ever been heard in any movie never mind a comic book movie.

Accept no substitutions.
He came back for the prequel starwars trilogy, I'm sure he'd do it for superman

ok so, i say danny elfman does the new theme music, only if he goes the route of the breakfast machine from pee wee's big adventure! as the utter silliness of the question would suggest. lolol
i kid.

I hope you all know that John Williams didn't do the music for the spider-man movies. Danny Elfman did. For all 3 of them

who said that williams did the score for spiderman a7xile? It's pretty obvious he didn't, as it is utterly forgettable.

Williams score is the one thing I just cannot see being replaced. Its never going to get better than that. And if it ain't broke don't fix it.

@matt28-i like the angle you're going towards but first lets see if a reboot or a second film or anything will ever happen before we get a chance to burn that bridge ;)
