THE WHEEL OF TIME Sets November Premiere Date; New Poster Spotlights Rosamund Pike's Moiraine

J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings is widely considered to be the greatest fantasy tale of all time, but for many, Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time saga would be part of the conversation.

Fans have been anxiously awaiting a first proper look at the show (we've had a few vague teasers), and while that elusive trailer is yet to be released, we do have a new poster giving us a first glimpse of Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Jack Reacher, Die Another Day) as the powerful Aes Sedai, Moiraine Damodred.

The streamer has also announced that the series will premiere this November.

The Wheel of Time also stars Madeleine Madden (Tidelands) as Egwene Al’Vere; Marcus Rutherford (Obey) as Perrin Aybara; Barney Harris (Clique) as Mat Cauthon; Zoë Robins (Power Rangers) as Nynaeve; and Josha Stradowski (Just Friends) as Rand Al’Thor.

Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

Any fans of the novels here? Let us know in the usual spot.
