GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 3 Will Be With Us In 2020 According To Director James Gunn
Marvel still hasn't set an official release date for third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but during a Twitter Q&A director James Gunn revealed that we should expect to see the threequel sometime in 2020.
During a Twitter Q&A, Gunn revealed that Vol. 3 will be with us in 2020. He didn't specify exactly when in 2020 (releases are set for May 1st, August 7th, and November 6th) and that could well be subject to change, but pending an official announcement from Marvel, we can assume that's when the studio is aiming for.
Gunn also said that Disney's recent acquisition of Fox's assets wouldn't alter his plans for the third film in any way, and confirmed that Yondu wouldn't not be resurrected - at least, not on his watch.

As of today, I wouldn’t find adding any of those characters interesting. I really am more of a fan of the Abnett/Lanning stuff as opposed to the stuff that came after the movie or first screenplay. https://t.co/6XdrYtGv1s

SPOILER. He will never be brought back to life as long as I’m around. His passing needs to mean something. https://t.co/D5H58Twjwi
