Last month's "Ghostbusters: Day" turned out to be a bit of a let-down, with no new footage from the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife or a first look at the returning cast of the classic films. However, a brand new trailer is now right around the corner.

Sony Pictures has announced that the new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released online tomorrow. As has become the norm, we do also have a short trailer teaser, but it really doesn't reveal a whole lot aside from another glimpse of the iconic Ecto-1.

What do you guys hope to see from the new trailer? Check out the video below, and drop us a comment in the usual place.

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts have all been confirmed to reprise their roles from the original movies, and they'll be joined by Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Carrie Coon (Fargo), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel).

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently set to blast into theaters on November 11, 2021.

I was really pumped for this after the first trailer. I've since forgotten about it.

I really appreciate this film will be shot like a low budget Indie movie.

Plus capitalising on that recent surge of suburban teen group heroes isn’t a bad idea at all.

I'll still give it a chance, but I'm not thrilled about the new team being kids...

I'm skeptical about a Ghostbusters that doesn't involve NYC. But I'm open minded.

Sony should release Spider Man No Way Home trailer first.

I do not understand the desire for more Ghostbusters. The original was lighting in a bottle, the sequel as good as one could be. 2016 was an abomination, and not because they cast women, but because it was an awful, ugly, unfunny movie.
I wish I could say Sony should leave it alone, but plenty goofuses out there are gonna part with money to see it.
Ghostbusters ain't about proton packs, Slimer, Gozer or any of that stuff. Ghostbusters was magic because of the performers, and an eager director who made quite the dish out of the ingredients at hand.
I would like to be wrong, for the sake of those of you excited at the prospect of new Ghostbusters content, but even if it's a serviceable action-comedy it will not come close to the original, and in that case, what's the point besides a cash grab?

@PapaSpank54 - The IDW comics series has been fire. I'd recommend it. The comics, plus the video game (that is really just Ghostbusters 3) are all i really need at this point. If this movie is good, then ok, we'll have that too.

@Waddles - Also, the IDW comics have brought the 2016 Ghostbusters into the series from another dimension and they've done far better with the characters than their own movie ever did.

@Waddles - Your son has the second hardcover volume? Hold onto that because that was selling for like $400 a minute ago.

@Waddles - Ah gotcha, haha. Yeah, I have the 1st and 3rd hardcover collections, but I was never able to get my hands on the second one. And then when i wanted to get it, it was $400 everywhere I looked. Even messaged IDW to ask if they'd ever reprint it and they said they had no plans to.

@Waddles - I'm a HUGE Transformers fan (and by HUGE I mean that I was there from the beginning in '84 and now have an entire spare bedroom in my house with 1000's of them (including the recent HasLab Unicron)) and I really enjoy what IDW has done with the property, especially the MTMTE/LL runs. I literally shed a tear more than once during some of those stories. I even have the recent TF/GB crossover which was a fun, relatively light-hearted romp through those two franchises. I won't spoil anything for those who haven't read it yet, but they definitely go in directions with those two franchises that I wasn't expecting. Others you could see coming a mile away. Think Transformers, ghosts... ;)

@Waddles - Dang, that is an amazing find!!! Crazy how much these volumes go for when they are out of print. There was a recent Humble Bundle and i snagged pretty much every Power Rangers issue up to current (i think) for like $25. Now i just gotta find time to read them, haha.

@StSteven - The GB/TMNT crossover was incredible as well.

@TheFinestSmack - Wouldn't surprise me. IDW seems to have a good handle on what makes these characters tick. I also have the TF/Back to the Future crossover as well and that was also a fun ride (I mean how much fun is it to imagine a TF that's a time-traveling DeLorean). And the TF/Terminator one as well, which is also very cool. And, naturally, I have the toy versions of the Ecto-1 TF (both the original and Afterlife version), the DeLorean TF, and even the Top Gun TF. And now there's a Jurassic Park TF(s) coming out, which I already preordered. Yes, I understand that I may need to seek professional help. My wife has been saying that for years ;)

cant wait.

Hope the old cast's cameos are saved for the final act, have them take on the ghosts in the streets while the new cast take on the big bad.
