Mark Ruffalo Says A Solo HULK Movie Will Never Happen But Kevin Feige May Have Other Ideas

Mark Ruffalo takes aim at Universal Pictures in this new interview for refusing to team with Marvel Studios for a solo Hulk movie but Kevin Feige seems a lot more confident that it will be made one day...

Variety caught up with Mark Ruffalo following Disney's live-action panel at D23 on Saturday and asked the actor about the possibility of playing The Hulk in a solo movie. Now, we've known for a while now that the rights to the Jade Giant are somehow caught up at Universal Pictures and that the character can only appear in Marvel Studios movies like Thor: Ragnarok providing it's as a supporting character.

"I wanna make just one thing perfectly clear today, a standalone Hulk movie will never happen," he says in the video below with a sly smile on his face. Asked why, he added: "For some
reason they don't know how to play well with Marvel," and "because they don't want to make money," referring to Universal, who holds the rights to a Hulk standalone film. However, is he being entirely honest?

Probably, because it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Ruffalo to throw Universal under the bus if they're secretly working with Marvel on a Hulk movie, but in the second video interview below, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige says "never say never" when it comes to the movie becoming a reality, so we'll have to wait and see!
