Director Zack Snyder has announced that reshoots are now underway on his director's cut of Justice League, which is (hopefully) coming to HBO Max next year.
The filmmaker shared a photo of a clapperboard with what appears to be an updated logo for the movie, while also hinting at what we assume will be the final title. The "Snyder Cut" was initially referred to as Zack Snyder's Justice League, but there's now speculation that its official title will be: Justice League: Zack Snyder's Director's Cut.
We'll need to see the full version of the image to be sure, however.
When it was first announced that Snyder would be given the chance to bring us his original vision for the iconic DC Comics super-team, we were told that reshoots would not be that extensive, but plans have evidently changed since then.
Not only are the likes of Henry Cavil, Ben Affleck and (possibly) Gal Gadot returning for additional photography, but we recently found out that Jared Leto and Joe Manganiello will reprise their respective roles as The Joker and Deathstroke, so this is looking increasingly like it's going to be an entirely new version of Justice League as opposed to your standard director's cut with a few extra scenes.
The "Snyder Cut" of Justice League will debut as a 4-episode event series on HBO Max in 2021.
