@Feralwookiee - all of this stuff is so up in the air. I saw a survey that said most wont return and a sociologist said people won’t return as fast as the movie industry thinks.

@BlackBeltJones - Meh. I don't put too much credence into these things either way. I think when things get slowly opening again, normal human nature (good and bad) just takes over again. Those that feel they are at risk or nervous whatever can just choose to stay home.

@Feralwookiee - I agree but I think there’s gonna be a split between those who want to rush back and those who will be cautious

@BlackBeltJones - Of course, but there always is with everything. I mean, there's really no "rushing back" imo. Those who choose to go will go. Those who don't fell comfortable don't have to...ever imo. Personally, I'm basically an interovert and have never enjoyed big crowds or lines, so the more people that stay home, fine with me!

This feels like an incredibly acute understanding for Paul from the book. Might have to re-read this sucker pretty soon, not like I've got much else to do, haha.
Also, Chalamet looks great in the part. Really, really great casting.

Dune as the Godfather sounds like an awesome take on the material.

This analogy scares me. I don't believe he understands the character. Paul is nothing like Michael Corleone. Michael wasn't groomed to be Godfather. The Don even says it, meanwhile Paul was always destined to rule. Both as Duke and the Kwisatz Haderach even though he didn't know the latter. His whole conception was done, by Jessica, with the purpose of conceiving a Messiah. That was the plan of the Bene Gesserit for generations; to prophesize a messiah while simultaneously using their breeding program to bring about that outcome. Michael was trained to be a politician. His role as Godfather was reluctantly thrust upon him. Sonny was killed. If that had not happened, Michael wouldn't have gotten the chance, even after killing McKlusky.

@90caliber - The only similarity between the two is their love for their fathers and how that drove and ultimately shaped them.

This is my favorite book of all time and I'm afraid they are going to butcher it.
