Daisy Ridley Cryptically Responds To Query About Rey Turning To The Dark Side In STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI
Will Rey turn to the Dark Side in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Daisy Ridley appeared on Good Morning America today and was asked that exact question. Read on to find out how the young actress responded...
Actress Daisy Ridley appeared on Good Morning America today and was asked that precise question. Obviously not looking to spoil what could be a major moment in the film, Ridley responded with a cryptic answer that leaves us with even more desire to know the truth.
"I think the thing about this film is it's not so... the lines are less clear as to, like, good and bad," Ridley answered coyly. "Rey's trying to find out about herself and about the universe, and those questions don't entirely fall to the good, nor do they entirely fall to the bad."
"She's trying to do her own sort of personal growth and I think what's amazing is that the end of the film - however that does end - it's more rich. If it's always good, the outcome isn't as important as it might be if..." she teased before trailing off.
Despite not giving away the answer, it certainly sounds as if Rey will have her moments where she struggles with the Dark Side of the Force. The trailers have certainly alluded to it, as have marketing materials that bleed with an ominous red color scheme.
Ridley isn't the only one who has been asked about her character turning to the Dark Side. In an interview with ABC News earlier this year, Mark Hamill was asked if his character, Luke Skywalker, would ever turn. He responded, "It's possible, anything's possible."
We'll find out soon enough as Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15.
