Fans are still waiting on a new look at Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Sony Pictures will drop the second Morbius trailer tomorrow. In the meantime, we have a featurette for the movie that includes plenty of fresh footage from Daniel Espinosa's long-delayed Marvel Comics adaptation.

We're clearly getting a comic-accurate take on Morbius the Living Vampire if the glimpses of his transformation here are any indication, and that's bound to be welcomed by fans. Jared Leto, meanwhile, drops a big Spider-Man tease when he said this movie's presents "a web of opportunity."

After that big Vulture reveal in the teaser, fingers crossed for something equally as huge in this next sneak peek. There have been rumblings about a Venom Easter Egg of some sort, but we'll see.

"One of Marvel's most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius," reads the newly released synopsis for Morbius. "Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil - or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?"

The cast of Morbius includes Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson, while the movie will arrive exclusively in theaters on January 28, 2022.

@AmazingFILMporg -

Haha some of the VFX is a little too reminiscent to Bloodsport and the Batman Begins iconography also harkens back to familiar territory. But I also don’t think it could be outright terrible.

We will see indeed 😅

It feels like there was about 5 minutes after Dallas Buyers Club came out, when everybody loved Jared Leto… and then Suicide Squad came out, and his Joker was terrible, and then we learned Leto basically runs a private island cult, attended exclusively by lonely middle aged women. And everyone went back to hating Jared Leto.

Great pick, Sony.

@santoanderson - Did people hate him before that? I only really knew him as the guy who looked longingly into the camera from 30 Seconds to Mars music videos

@santoanderson - I don't give a f#ck what these actors do in the private lives; and I don't hate him.

I just want engaging performances.

@DarkDetective - It doesn’t look good but it at least doesn’t have the cringey “humor” that we can see so that gives it a leg up on those movies for me

@Ha1frican - oh yes, you are right. Well, that alone would make it miles better.
