SUICIDE SQUAD Director Shares A New Look At Jared Leto's Joker From A Deleted Scene
Suicide Squad director David Ayer has followed up some never-before-seen pics of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) with a new look at Jared Leto as The Joker in what appears to be a deleted scene from the film.
In the pic, The Clown Prince of Crime is holding a gun to Harley Quinn's (Margot Robbie) head. This sequence most likely took place after the helicopter crash, with Joker attempting to force Harley to rejoin him and abandon Task Force X.
If a recent report from THR is to be believed, Leto was not happy about Warner Bros. moving forward with Todd Philips' Joker, and felt "blindsided" by Joaquin Phoenix taking over the role. We don't know for certain if that's the case, but either way, Leto returning as the iconic DC villain seems like a long shot at this stage.
Check out the photo below along with those previously previously released BTS shots of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
Movies are fragile. They are like dreams, haunting moments that run from your vision. They have their own logic and truth. If you change the destination after the trip is complete is it still the same journey? The spine of Suicide Squad was Harley’s journey. In many ways it was her movie, her escaping her relationship with Joker was the major emotional through line. A director holds an invisible compass in their hands. It guides every shot, every performance. That compass points to the destination. If the desintation changes did the journey even happen? @margotrobbie @jaredleto #filmmaking #joker
