@soberchimera - somehow im gonna squeeze this into a random conversation. Like someone asks "oh are you going for a starbucks run?" And I'll respond "they didnt ask for my nipples".

I don’t blame Clooney, that falls entirely on Schumacher (rip). With that said, Batman returns deserves the number one spot on this list

'' They did not ask for my nipples''

Shame, but is not surprising. Between Clooney, Kilmer and Keaton, the latter is probably the most famous as Batman. No need to over-overstuff this movie

I wouldn't mind him coming back tbh. I've always thought he could play a could Batman

Clooney's the most like Batman out of any of the actors who've played him - a roguish playboy to the outside world who also funds satellites to spy on overseas warlords.
Would be cool to see him get redemption, like Foxx is getting w/ Electro, but I think he feels so burnt from that experience that he probably never wants to return haha

Also, the movie that saved Clooney's career after this tanked was Out of Sight - a really dope film written by Scott Frank (Logan, Queen's Gambit). Also features Michael Keaton, haha

@tmp3 - @tmp3 - Nah the movie that saved his career was the one he did just after which was Peacemaker. Not a commercial success but a really good and underrated political thriller from Mimi Leder.

Out of sight did better review wise and Peacemaker did better box office wise. I never got Out Of Sight, to me it was just a waywardly meandering film. While it did help his career yes, Peacemaker showed that Clooney could be a serious action movie leading man.

I don't blame him. I don't want George to be embarrassed again.

I know I'm in a minority here but it's really important to me that the Burton/Schumacher movies are a quadrilogy, so I would not want Clooney anyway since his and Keaton's Batman are the same one as far as I'm concerned.

He was just lazy as Batman. All “this a paycheck for a new kitchen” vibes

Back in the ER days, I first saw a Clooney on TV and thought physically, he would make a fantastic Bruce Wayne - he had that 50s era Hollywood star look, which is how Bruce Wayne was often drawn in the comics I read growing up. Of course the final product was very disappointing.

I don’t see how they could bring him and Keaton back anyway. Despite the vastly different style and tones, wasn’t his Batman essentially set in the same continuity as the Burton ones, just recast? Keaton was asked back for Batman Forever and didn’t want to do it without Burton, so Kilmer got the role - then Clooney replaced Kilmer.

He's literally the same Batman as Michael Keaton. Unless there are time travel shenanigans, why would George Clooney return?

Whenever a Wilding article starts with “This actor reveals whether they were...”, it’s ALWAYS no.

That makes no sene because Keaton IS Clooney, just as Reeve IS Routh.
