BATWOMAN Actor Dougray Scott Responds To Ruby Rose; Calls Allegations "Entirely Made Up"
As we expected, the floodgates have now opened, and Ruby Rose's Batwoman costars have begun to respond to the actress' recent allegations. Find out what Dougray Scott had to say right here...
Last night, Warner Bros. issued a statement in response to former Batwoman star Ruby Rose's recent allegations of some pretty appalling on-set behaviour, and, as expected, the floodgates have now opened.
Camrus Johnson (Batwing) weighed in earlier today, and Dougray Scott (Jacob Kane) has now followed suit by completely dismissing Rose's claims.
The one-time Kate Kane said that Scott “hurt a female stunt double” and “yelled like a little bitch at women and was a nightmare. He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted [and verbally] abused women.” However, the Scottish actor is adamant that these accusations are "entirely made up."
“I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by [Ruby Rose]; they are entirely made up and never happened,” he told TV Line. “As Warner Bros. Television has stated, they decided not to exercise the option to engage Ruby for Season 2… based on multiple complaints about her workplace behaviour.”
We have no idea what actually went down, but someone is clearly being less than truthful, and these statements do come across more like damage control on Warners' part than genuine responses. Showrunner Caroline Dries has yet to comment, but it might be worth noting that she's made her Twitter account protected.
Keep an eye out for updates, because we have a feeling this is far from the last word on the matter.
