I haven't watched any Supergirl except for the crossovers, but it should end with her going to the 31st century to join the LSH.

Don't need SUperman & Lois and Supergirl going on at the same time anyway.

My lasting takeaway will be the costume. The aim costume Melissa wore before the revamp. Great for TV standard

@MutantEquality - Yeah the show started off fine...when it still pretended to be a DC Comic show...then they decided to change the costume and just create characters, and of course "Jobber Superman" was it for me.

Should've ended a long time ago.

Wow, they finally got everyone on the same Earth, start up the Justice League and now they’re losing shows. I’m sure she’ll show up again every once and a while but still.

@newhire13 - considering she just had or is having a kid wouldnt be surprised if this was her choice. At least we still have superman and lois

@dracula - I can see that. And with how crazy productions will be Post Covid she may have just been like “I’ve got a kid now and this sounds way too hectic.”

Surprised its not at least going to 7. Wonder if Melissa Benoist had anything to do with it ending. She is starting a family, so nobody would blame her if she wanted to end it and spend time with her kid

For the ending, bring back mon el and do something like this

@dracula - It does seem it was her call.

Pretty sure its because Melissa Benoist wants to move on to do other things. I thought I read about that a while ago.

Per the Deadline article, this seemed to be a mutual agreed upon decision, largely due to ratings issues.

Anyways, I'll be honest, was not expecting Supergirl to end this quickly. Makes sense why, especially with Superman & Lois also coming out (and I imagine Kara could appear over there), but still a bit of a surprise. Season 4 was so damn good, but season 5 started out as pretty underwhelming; it became pretty good again after COIE though.

Hopefully they go all out this final seas, and that should mean lots of Lex Luthor...
