Just hours after securing an early second season renewal, Superman & Lois aired its second installment, which saw Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) learn a whole lot more about their father's (Tyler Hoechlin) true identity while the Kent family attended a barbecue at Lana's (Emmanuelle Chriqui) house.

Next week, the Kent boys continue their crash course on all things Kryptonian, which doesn't seem to be going all that well, while their mom (Elizabeth Tulloch) continues her investigation into the increasingly shady Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner).

The promo teases a tense confrontation between Clark and Jordan, while the photos also showcase a key moment between the brothers and a scene with Jonathan on the football field.

"The Perks of Not Being a Wallflower" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

GREGORY SMITH ("EVERWOOD") DIRECTS THE EPISODE - Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) shares some of his Kryptonian history with Jordan (Alex Garfin) and Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) during a family breakfast. Meanwhile, Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Chrissy (guest star Sofia Hasmik) dig deeper to uncover the truth about Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner). Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wole Parks and Dylan Walsh also star. (#103). The episode was written by Brent Fletcher and directed by Gregory Smith. Original airdate 3/9/2021.

After years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books' most famous journalist, Lois Lane, come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan and Jordan could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang, a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark's first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, General Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois' return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.[src]

@Roodi - Why he needs the red trunks. They knew it in the 30's.

@Roodi - If that's where your eye instinctually goes I think that says more about you than the costume design.

@FleischerSupes - he had the trunks in the 30s because strongmen wore trunks. They definitely didn’t put them in to avoid people looking at his crotch
FleischerSupes
FleischerSupes - 3/3/2021, 8:10 AM
@Twenty23Three - Strong men had them so they wouldn't show their peens .

Twenty23Three - 3/3/2021, 8:50 AM
@FleischerSupes - that’s correct, in the sense that everyone wears something to cover their genitals in daily life. Superman having trunks was still just so the audience made the connect to strong men of the day.

@dracula - we talking Zod who was like a clone in an orb? Or Lex possessed by Zod? Or maybe even the Zod that possessed Lex, possessing the clone orb Zod in the phantom zone? (Man what a mad show)
