TITANS Actor Brenton Thwaites On Robin's Infamous "F*ck Batman" Line; Two New Stills Released

By far the most maligned moment of the recent Titans trailer was Dick Grayson's "f*ck Batman" line, and in a new interview, Brenton Thwaites shares his thoughts on the F-bomb. We also have 2 new stills...

Not many elements of the first Titans trailer went over particularly well with fans, but the moment that came in for the most backlash was Robin's "f*ck Batman" line, which came across very forced and more than a bit comical.

Now, during an interview with EW, Dick Grayson actor Brenton Thwaites reveals that the infamous dialogue wasn't even originally part of the scene.

“We’d already shot that alley fight scene before, and there was no punch to it,” Thwaites tells the trade. “There was no real exclamation mark. I think the producers wanted something that would kind of set the tone for the whole show.”

That may well have been a miscalculation, because the majority of fans are hoping that line doesn't set the tone for the show! The Gods of Egypt actor goes on to explain that the line was seen as the most concise way to put across that Titans is not going to be a show about The Dark Knight.

“It’s a show that isn’t about Batman, and I think it’s important for people to know that and maybe not be disappointed that they’re not going to see Batman jumping from the ceiling and beating up a hundred guys, because it’s not Batman, it’s a story about the Titans, essentially. I feel like ‘F— Batman’ says that in two words.”
