WESTWORLD Season 4 Adds PRODIGAL SON Star Aurora Perrineau In A Key Role
It sounds like casting on Westworld season four has officially commenced, and the first new addition to the ensemble is Prodigal Son star Aurora Perrineau, who will appear in a key recurring role.
Deadline is reporting that the upcoming fourth season of HBO's Westworld has added Aurora Perrineau (Prodigal Son; Truth or Dare; Jem and the Holograms) in a key recurring role. She's expected to appear in at least five episodes, but further details are currently under wraps.
She joins a fourth season that is expected to see the return of Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton as Maeve Millay, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard Lowe, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte Hale, Aaron Paul as Caleb Nichols, and Ed Harris as the Man in Black.
While Wood is slated to return, her original character Dolores Abernathy - who perished in the season three finale - will not, with the 3x Primetime Emmy-nominated actress now expected to play an all-new character. However, whether she turns out to be a host or human remains to be seen.
Not much is known about the coming fourth season, but it will presumably pick up after a decent time jump with Dolores' revolution fully underway, and will hopefully reveal what Bernard learned from his journey to the Sublime.
The series is tentatively scheduled to return in May 2022, but that's likely subject to change, especially considering the rumors that HBO may want to launch their Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon around the same time.
