The Emmy nominations were announced earlier today, and Don Cheadle picked up his 11th nom... for two minutes of screen time in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The Avengers: Endgame star reprised the role of Col. James Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, in the series premiere of the Disney+ show, appearing in a crowd scene before sharing a heartfelt conversation about the legacy of Captain America's shield with fellow Avenger Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie).

Cheadle's performance was as strong as ever, but a lot of people seemed to be a little baffled that such a brief, uneventful appearance would warrant a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

As it turns out, Cheadle feels the same way! The actor responded to his nomination with the following Tweet.

At least he has a sense of humor about the whole thing!

Despite being nominated 11 times, Cheadle has never actually won an Emmy, so we're obviously hoping to see him pick one up for TFATWS - whether he likes it or not!

The other 2021 nominees for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series are Lovecraft Country's Courtney B. Vance, The Crown's Charles Dance, and The Mandalorian's Timothy Olyphant and Carl Weathers.

I honestly don't think it deserved any. It wasn't terrible, but it was a pretty predictable story, and I wasn't very enthralled. Better luck next time.

@PapaSpank54 - this could've used more Korg. Can't get enough of him (unlike Deadpool)

Either Bruhl or Lumbly should've gotten that nomination. Although with this nomination, I'm already kinda looking forward to Cheadle's speech if he wins.
