THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER: Another Hero Just Underwent A MAJOR Status Quo Change - SPOILERS THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER: Another Hero Just Underwent A MAJOR Status Quo Change - SPOILERS

We've known that major changes were in store for certain characters in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier from the start, but someone else underwent a significant shakeup in today's awesome season finale...

By JoshWilding - Apr 23, 2021 01:04 AM EST

WIth COVID delaying Marvel Studios' entire Phase 4 slate, it was inevitable that toys would find their way into stores for those movies and TV shows before they were supposed to. That's why we've had first looks at everything from Eternals to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in advance, and a few weeks back, we got to see U.S. Agent.

So, while this may not have come as a much of a surprise in today's finale of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, there's no denying that John Walker's transformation is one of the most intriguing parts of this series.

Despite clearly suffering with his mental health and the impact the Super Soldier Serum had on his psyche, the former Captain America proved himself a hero in today's finale and has been enlisted by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine to serve as U.S. Agent. He doesn't have a shield - yet - but seems very happy with his new role, and is seemingly on the side of the angels...for now, at least.

After all, we don't really know what "Val" is up to, or who she's working for, so it obviously remains to be seen what sort of missions she chooses to send this "U.S. Agent" on.

That costume looks great, though, and you can check out a first look below:

Watched the latest Invincible earlier and it was awesome and I just finished Mortal Kombat and it was aight. Cool action but the story was kinda dull and for some reason I didn’t give a shit about Cole. Now on to Falcon And Winter Soldier. Fun night. 👍

@AnthonyVonGeek - Mate that invincible episode might be the best tv episode of the year. And I feel next week season finale might even beat it.

Same likes and dislikes I had with WandaVision. Phenomenal writing when it comes to character arcs, but I was kinda bored. Nothing really iconic or eventful happened that got me pumped... idk... I enjoyed the show but it was kinda pointless feeling just like WandaVision. I'm aware stuff changed, but I just didn't feel very satisfied. But again the Isaiah Bradley stuff was the best. Neat new suits. I like Sam as Cap.

But overall I feel super underwhelmed, especially by that wet fart post credit nothing of a scene.

@ElricReturns - I thought the writing was pretty damn bad. Especially in this episode.

The season was good, but not great. So far rankings are:

WandaVision: 8/10
TFATWS: 7/10

The “US Agent” line was really shitty... it was so forced. Gave me heavy Fan4stick vibes.

Still seems like a ticking time bomb but he did the right thing by putting his personal shit aside and focusing on saving lives and getting the job done. Wyatt Russell was great in this. Definitely interested in seeing where this leads.
