Welcome to another roundup of Marvel news! There's a lot out there to cover, but rather than writing up every single piece of fresh intel in separate articles, we've collected it for you in one place.
Today, we're kicking things off with news on at least one of the time periods Eternals will visit before moving on to updates for everything from Avengers: Endgame's Oscar campaign to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. However, it's Spider-Man who steals the show thanks to an amazing Hot Toys action figure and more videos from TheDailyBugle.net.
There's lots of great content here for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and beyond), so all you have to do to check it out is click on the "View List" button down below...
Eternals Time-Setting Revealed?
It's previously been confirmed that the Eternals have been on Earth for 35,000 years and that the movie will visit different periods in that timeframe, including the present day. Now, though, we may have intel on at least one of the locations/periods the action will be taking place in.
In a photo shared to Lauren Ridloff's Instagram account via the "Story" feature, the actress showed off one of Makkari's costumes. However, it didn't take eagle-eyed fans long to notice the sign in the background that said "Babylon 800BC."
As a result, that confirms at least one location in Eternals will be in the MCU over 2800 years ago! That puts these characters up there with the Asgardians in terms of how long they've been around, and it will be interesting finding out what, if anything, these flashbacks reveal about the emergence of superheroes and this shared world as we know it.
Work Begins On The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
While it was reported that filming on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier started on Monday, showrunner Malcolm Spellman took to Instagram last night to confirm that things actually kicked off yesterday. Whether this means we can expect set photos or some sort of official reveal is hard to say.
What we do know is that the show is a little under a year away, and as we've still seen no official images from the likes of Black Widow and Eternals, we may have to be patient for now.
Another Avengers: Endgame "For Your Consideration" Poster
The latest "For You Consideration" poster for Avengers: Endgame puts the spotlight on the amazing sets which were created for the movie, not to mention several very emotional character moments.
Disney clearly isn't going to back down from pushing the Marvel Studios movie for "Best Picture" and after Black Panther was recognised earlier this year, you have to believe that it's possible.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe Is Going To Get Bigger
During a recent interview with Cinema Blend, Marvel Studios producer Trin Tranh commented on the expansion of the MCU and was quick to assure fans that a packed slate won't mean a dip in quality.
"[We're] going through it and we’re figuring out things to make sure that we’re going to be able to deliver the same type of movies that we have in the past. to make sure that it’s nothing below the best of our ability to create these narratives that are interesting and new and refreshing. But we are discussing and working out how to make sure that we’re able to do all this."
Marvel Studios is obviously bigger than ever thanks to a busy movie slate made up of three or four releases a year, and a whole new wave of live-action and animated TV shows coming to Disney+. Kevin Feige, meanwhile, now has creative control of the television and comic book divisions.
"Movie 143" Isn't Happening
Tim Miller is currently doing the rounds to promote Terminator: Dark Fate, but when ComicBook.com asked the filmmaker about his long-rumoured X-Men movie - codenamed "Movie 143" - he made it clear that he doesn't believe the project is going to happen following the Disney/Fox merger.
"I love the X-Men. I don't expect Marvel to call me and say, 'Come do the X-Men,' so I'm not waiting for that," Miller said. "I was really excited about my Kitty Pryde movie. F**k, I love that movie. It'll never happen now." The filmmaker went on to say that he's a big fans of John Byrne and Dave Cockrum's comic book runs, but he clearly doesn't seem himself getting to play in that world now.
Plot details have never been revealed but we know Brian Michael Bendis was penning the script.
More Videos From TheDailyBugle.net
The first video is the full version of the footage shown in Spider-Man: Far From Home's post-credits scene and shows more of J. Jonah Jameson outing the wall-crawler's secret identity to the world.
The second video features a report with JJJ branding Spidey a menace, and it's clear J.K. Simmons must have shot a ton of footage for Sony Pictures to be able to use so much of it in reports like these.
The final video is basically just footage from the Blu-ray as we see Flash Thompson's cell phone footage from London as the Elementals (well, drones) attacked Peter Parker's classmates.
