The first two episodes of Hawkeye arrived on Disney+ this past Wednesday, but even before that big Echo reveal, fans were convinced that Vincent D'Onofrio would reprise the role of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. This is thanks to the usual rumour-mongers, of course, and only time will tell if it happens.
We're certainly hopeful, but over the past few days, the most ridiculous "leaked" image of the actor as a comic accurate Kingpin has been floating around on social media.
Even some of the aforementioned scoopers have been fooled into believing it's real, though the Daredevil alum himself has now taken to Twitter to debunk its validity. If the villain is in Hawkeye, we'd hope he doesn't look as abysmal as that, but it's certainly exciting to imagine how Marvel Studios could reinvent Kingpin for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (with D'Onofrio, obviously).
If Fisk is about to make his presence felt on Disney+, then we can likely expect him to continue to do so over all manner of Marvel Studios projects. Echo would make perfect sense, while rumours of some sort of Daredevil revival would almost certainly put the Man Without Fear's greatest foe front and centre. As always with these things, we're just going to have to wait and see for now.
