HAWKEYE: Fans Are Convinced They've Spotted Captain America Actor Chris Evans In The Trailer HAWKEYE: Fans Are Convinced They've Spotted Captain America Actor Chris Evans In The Trailer

Yesterday's trailer for the upcoming Disney+ Hawkeye series was fairly light on major reveals, but some fans are convinced that Chris Evans did put in an appearance... and not as Steve Rogers!

We still don't know if we'll ever see Chris Evans back in the MCU as Steve Rogers, but some fans are convinced they've spotted the actor in yesterday's Hawkeye trailer as a completely different character.

At one point in the teaser, we see Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and his family attending a production of "Rogers: The Musical," and we get a brief shot of the performers on stage. The actor playing the former Captain America himself is clearly not Evans, but what about Thor?

It certainly looks like him, but is it him? We have our doubts, but it wouldn't exactly be unheard of for Marvel Studios to sneak a little cameo like this into one of their projects. Matt Damon played an actor portraying Loki in Thor: Ragnarok, for example, and the Loki Disney+ series enlisted Chris Hemsworth to say a single word (actually, a yelp!) as Frog Thor, aka Throg, in the penultimate episode.

Evans hasn't weighed in yet, but he did comment on Renner's Instagram post linking to the trailer, expressing his excitement for the show.

What do you guys think? Is this Chris Evans in a cheap Thor costume, or just some dude who happens to resemble him? Have another look at the trailer below, and let us know in the comments.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - Yes. I guess the point was that there's just as much fanaticism as there is fandom these days. I don't consider myself to be fanatical, but I am a fan. Don't have the mental resources to devote to that kind of energy.

@The1st - I feel you on that I was borderline on the edge and had to look in the mirror / reel myself back. Way to easy to get too heavily invested

I get the confusion, but I'm pretty sure that'snot him. Rather wish they just brought in Luke Hemsworth again

You dumbasses. That's not Chris Evans.

It's Charlie Cox.

Before he's the devil in NWH he cameos in Hawkeye (and when I say Devil, I don't mean DAREdevil. I mean Mephisto-Devil).
