INHUMANS Has Been Officially Canceled By ABC After One Season
In probably the least surprising news of the day (and possibly the year), ABC has officially canceled Marvel's Inhumans. The critically-reviled Marvel series premiered to poor ratings last fall.
The decision to ax the series shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone that was following along, especially considering its subpar ratings and extremely poor critical reception last fall. Its cause was also not helped by an extremely disappointing IMAX run, which despite much fanfare, only managed to collect around $2.85 million worldwide.
In other ABC news, Quantico, Designated Survivor, Alex Inc., Ten Days in the Valley, Deception, The Crossing, The Mayor, and Kevin (Probably) Saves The World have also been canceled. Meanwhile, in more positive news, Fresh Off The Boat, Black-ish, Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Station 19, and For The People have all been renewed for new seasons. ABC has also picked up Single Parents, The Fix, Grand Hotel, and Whiskey Cavalier.
No word yet on the status of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which for now, is probably a good thing.
