The only reason I could see for asking such questions that they have to know they won't get an answer to is to hope that in providing a non-answer someone actually slips up and reveals something important, and then they can claim a scoop. Stupid of course but I guess I can't blame them for trying.

Imagine if instead of it being Mephisto like everyone is suggesting, it was instead Mr. Sinister who has overridden SWORD's experiments to torment Wanda and push her to releasing the extent of her mutant powers. Someone at SWORD knows something is up (my guess is Jimmy Woo) which is why someone on the radio asked, "Who is doing this to you, Wanda?"

Then again, Tommy and Billy were created from pieces of Mephisto's life essence in the comics. If the show is going that route, it rules out the possibility of Nathaniel Essex being involved. A lot of the signs so far are pointing out that the Devil himself is involved.

Either way, it'd be a cool way to slowly introduce X-Men elements into the MCU.

@MovieMonster - If it's Mephisto, we might even eventually get Johnny Blaze introduced too.

@Godzillakartt - The only way mutants can come into the MCU with no questions of where they were would be on an alternate earth. And on that Earth Wanda is a mutant. That would mean either our Wanda will replace her or that Wanda will replace ours.

@Godzillakartt - Xavier senses her turmoil via Cerebro and comes to rescue her.

Am I the only one who really doesn't want it to be Mephisto?

ALTOUGH! I really like her quote that the comic character is different from the MCU one, which means it could be "Mephisto" but not de devil based dude that would be too laborious to explain.

@ODanil - I hope it's Mephisto. It's about time the MCU dives into hell and explore the demonic side of the MCU. This gives Doctor Strange more to work with and allows Ghost Rider to make more sense in the bigger picture.

This Mephisto thing has gotten so out of hand that if it's NOT Mephisto there might be a lot of dissatisfied people.

Me personally I don't care who it is, I'm enjoying the heck out of the journey so far.

I really love what Marvel has been doing in the MCU, but i'm really annoyed by WandaVision. I think this show really suffers from weekly episodes. Almost every TV Show has their "Dream Episode" where characters are trapped in a dream world and don't know about it until the end. And this concept can be cool for a single episode not a entirely season of 8 episodes 30min each.
This show builds so much questions and answers almost nothing. Every episode is 25min filler about sitcoms with the last few minutes building up the same question "what the [frick] is going on".
Shows like Mandalorian, GoT, Watchmen... can be enjoyable weekly because every episode can tell a single part of the story and in the end you can piece it together. I can't fell that about WandaVision.
I think the best option is to wait for the whole season to come out or this show will be very frustrating.
And i bet they'll keep all the answers the final 2 episodes, only to get people subscribed to D+ and hyped about Falcon and W Soldier.

@ImNotaBot - it is supposed to get more intense as each episode is unveiled... more MCU like... and more crazy.

If Mephisto shows up... let’s hope he has a bodyguard.

I’m not super familiar with Mephisto in the comics, is he the devil himself?
JonC
JonC - 1/26/2021, 3:54 PM
@Batman5 - apparently when the 'comics code' was in full gear they couldn't dare use the literal devil... so they made their own MCU version

Maybe the villain is actually a team of villains from the MCU and the Spidey-verse.
