Today's episode of What If...? asked "What If...Thor Was An Only Child?" and introduced us to a very different God of Thunder. Mostly comedic in nature, this seventh instalment of the animated series featured some fun twists and turns along with an epic battle between Party Thor and Captain Marvel.

There were lots of big names from the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe, many of whom didn't actually have speaking roles.

However, Chris Hemsworth was back as Thor, and joining him were Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Kat Dennings (Darcy), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow), Taika Waititi (Korg), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Seth Green (Howard the Duck), Rachel House (Topaz), and Clancy Brown (Surtur).

As we're sure you'll agree, that's one heck of a cast!

As for the newcomers, we had Alexandra Daniels as Captain Marvel, Josette Eales as Frigga, David Chen as Hogun, Max Mittelman as Fandral, and Fred Tatasciore as Volstagg and Drax.

That's really not too bad compared to some previous episodes, and Daniels proved herself a great Carol Danvers in an episode that gave her just as much of the spotlight in some ways. Among the crazy antics we saw here was Darcy marrying Howard the Duck in Las Vegas, while a cliffhanger ending introduced a major new threat to this reality in the form of a Vision/Ultron hybrid.

What did you guys think about today's episode of What If...?
