Someone pointed out that one of the only two with the ‘Marvel’s’ designation is Captain Carter, the other Sylvie who’s already in Loki. Spells well for her appearing in live-action

@Cap1 - That doesn’t mean anything. Certain figures have the “Marvel’s” designation because of trademarks. Sylvie and Carter being actual names, they can’t be trademarked. But attach “Marvel’s” in front it, now it can be.

Characters like Beast in previous Legends waves also had “Marvel’s” in front of it. Because again, Beast is a common word.

@Cap1 - Still complicates things considering there’s bound to be real Captain Carters out there.

By comparison, Captain America and Captain Marvel both don’t have the “Marvel’s” designation.

@Cap1 - Haha yeah, don’t mean to be the bearer of, I guess bad news, but yeah man. Copyright in general is pretty iffy, but I remember looking that up when I first started noticing some merch labeled as “Marvel’s” etc. while others weren’t.
Having worked on art for Upper Deck’s Marvel card licenses before too, there’s just a whole weird list of what you can and can’t do with the properties and characters.

@DTor91 - Same thing goes for Transformers. Since G1 Hasbro had along the copyrights for various names of certain characters, so initially they either altered the names slightly (i.e. the Insecticon Shrapnel was changed to "Skrapnel") or they just renamed them completely. But then someone at Hasbro (whom I'm sure is a vice president by now) figured out that they can use the original names if they just add "Autobot" or "Decepticon" or "Constructicon", etc. before the original name. Hence in the Studio Series box set of movie Devastator that was released a little while ago, all the Constructicons have "Constructicon" before their name. Hell, most of the time they make the faction name pretty small so you barely notice it. Sneaky sneaky.

@StSteven - GI Joe's also experienced this too. In terms of the product name being slapped onto an existing character's codename, during the 25th Anniversary line, one Clayton Abernathy had to be referred to on the packaging as 'G.I. Joe Hawk' instead of General Hawk or just Hawk.

@FlixMentallo21 - Yeah that sounds about right. Nice avatar BTW. Always loved Wheeljack. That no-nonsense-and-by-the-way-I'm-a-genius attitude is always cool. Last I heard he and a group of other engineers (Gears, Huffer, etc.) were trying to keep Cybertron's untethered moon from heading into their sun. We'll see how that works out for them.

I'm not a big fan of Marvel Legends, mainly because their articulated joints are too noticeable. But I may make an exception for that Zombie Captain America. That one is awesome.

@CorndogBurglar - They have improved a lot lately. They are implementing pinless technology with new molds so the joints are not so noticeable. However, it also dependes of the figure...
