The first trailer for What If...? gave us a teasing glimpse of Eric Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) speaking to Iron Man, and it's now been confirmed that this week's new episode will see the return of the Black Panther villain.

Marvel Studios has shared a new poster featuring the Multiverse "Variant" of the lethal mercenary, and he looks pretty much the same as he did in the movie. We still don't know what to expect from this version of Killmonger, but a recent report indicated that he will team-up with Tony Stark for some reason. A promo still showed Eric riding one of those armored rhinos into battle, so we assume this story will take place in Wakanda.

Will Eric Stevens turn out to be a more heroic character in this timeline, or will Stark head down a darker path? You'll have to tune in for the sixth episode of What If...? this Wednesday to find out!

"What If…? flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Coming to Disney+ in summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. The series is directed by Bryan Andrews; Ashley Bradley is head writer."
