Had COVID-19 not halted production, chances are we would have had a first look at The Witcher by now ahead of its December premiere on Netflix. Instead, shooting is still taking place in England, and we now have some new set photos courtesy of Mail Online.

Taken at High and Low Force Waterfall in County Durham, we see Yennefer actress Anya Chalotra sporting a new look (she's in much better shape here than in those first look stills). Joining her is Freya Allan as Ciri, confirming that the two women will cross paths during season two.

It's believed that when The Witcher returns, Yennefer will be M.I.A. and Ciri will be training with Henry Cavill's Geralt in Kaer Morhen, so chances are these spoiler-y images are from late in the season.

"Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen," the synopsis reveals. "While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside."

@TheDoctor1225 I believe they said there will be one or two new catchy songs in season two.

Because of the direction they're seemingly taking this, I really start to look forward to it again.

Hoping to get some memorable soundtracks out of this season. The game set a high bar in that regard.

OT: @NateBest what happened to the RSS feed? Does CBM not have one anymore? It was my main way to browse new articles.

@LlamaLord - I pulled it down last week after finding several other sites using it to copy CBM content verbatim and post on their own sites without permission or even links/credit to where they stole it from :|

@NateBest - That sucks, and I suppose a lot of big sites are prey to those kinds of things. But is it reason enough to remove a feature normal users were using as well?

Is there any alternative? I guess I could just turn CBM's twitter feed to an RSS feed, or use the API to get the list of articles and convert it into an RSS feed (which these thieves would probably too, if they're any competent). It's still inconvenient though...

@LlamaLord - Unfortunately I have no idea how often the RSS feed was used as there's no way to track it's use, nor am I aware of a way to lock it down for CBM users only... :o(

The only good thing about this Hel of a year was that becuse we cut down man hours at the office - I finally gave The Witcher 3 a shot since it was "for free" in GamePass anyway.

Hands down, from start to finnish, one of the best rpg:s Ive ever played. Up there with Mass Effect and KOTOR (at the time).

And I finally understand why Cavill speaks the way he does as Gerald. :)
