WONDER WOMAN 1984 International TV Spot Features Some Exciting New Footage
The trailer that debuted with the announcement that Wonder Woman 1984 would be releasing in theatres and on HBO Max at the same time didn't contain any new footage, but this international TV spot does!
Last night brought the news that Warner Bros. has decided to release Wonder Woman 1984 in theatres and on the HBO Max streaming service simultaneously on December 25. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer with the updated release details, but it didn't contain any new footage.
However, a Chinese TV spot for the DC Comics sequel has now found its way online (via Twitter user @Luiz_Fernando_J), and this does feature quite a few shots that weren't in the previous trailers, including a new look at Gal Gadot's Amazon hero taking to the skies and what appears to be a pivotal moment between Diana and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine).
The 30-second spot also reveals that WW84 will debut in the Middle Kingdom on December 17th, which would seem to confirm that the movie will roll-out overseas between the 16th and 18th before hitting theatres in the U.S. on Christmas day. The DC Comics sequel is then expected to stream for free on HBO Max for the first month, before returning to theatres for an additional few weeks and being made available for rental on demand.
After #Japan, #HongKong has also released a new #WW84 TV Spot with tons of beautiful new footage confirming debut to DEC 17, same date as other south Asian locations, what means that #WonderWoman1984 will be released from DEC 16 to DEC18 overseas. pic.twitter.com/TLZll3gmj2— Luiz Fernando (@Luiz_Fernando_J) November 19, 2020
