Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Finalist for Best New Cartoon of 2010 at Nickandmore.com

The new Avengers cartoon has been getting much hype over the past couple of months. Now at popular cartoons website, Nickandmore.com, Avengers is in the top ten to win their coveted "Cartoon of the Year" award. But the cartoon in first place ahead of it? The answer may surprise you! (Here's a hint, it has to do with ponies)

With the looming advent of the Avengers movie slowly inching it's way towards it's 2012 release, comic book fans are getting more and more antsy to get there Avengers fix. So, with the news of a new Avengers cartoon coming out, fans were pretty darn excited. Marvel's first plan of generating hype was to release five minute episodes each day over a period of time several months ago, up till the premiere of the hour-long pilot at NYCC, followed by the full-fledged premiere on Disney XD.

Well now over at the popular cartoon website "Nickandmore.com", their annual voting contest for "Best New Show of 2010" is getting underway with Avengers being one of the top ten finalists in the final round (last round yielded over 3000 votes alone!). While the list is dominated by Cartoon Network's newest slew of critically acclaimed cartoons including Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Robotomy, two shows from two lesser and newer networks are also close contenders for first place: "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" of Disney XD, and the current lead (and I'm not making this up) "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" of The Hub network.

Yes, folks. That's right. The Avengers are being beaten by... My Little Pony.

Well, I thought it would be fun for any and all willing participants to vote for The Avengers cartoon to show our support as members of CBM.com, a site that has always provided us with any and all delicious news, updates, and goodies regarding the Avengers cartoon!
