The Goon Squad has arrived!

Warner Bros. has released a new set of character posters introducing the villains of Space Jam: A New Legacy, who will face off against current Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (Trainwreck; Smallfoot) and the legendary Tune Squad.

Making up the starting lineup for the superpowered Goon Squad are Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson as Wet-Fire, Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis as The Brow, Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard as Chronos, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi as White Mamba, and Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike as Arachnneka.

The NBA and WNBA superstars will voice their respective characters, and presumably also performed the basketball mo-cap for the film.

The previous film's villains, the Monstars, have already been confirmed not to appear in the film.

The human supporting cast will feature Academy Award-nominee Don Cheadle (Avengers: Endgame) as Al-G, Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery) as Kamiyah James, Ceyair J. Wright (American Skin) as Darius James, Cedric Joe as Dom James, and Harper Leigh Alexander as Xosha James.

The voice cast is toplined by Looney Tunes Cartoons stars Jeff Bergman and Eric Bauza as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, respectively, with Primetime Emmy-winner Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home) as Lola Bunny, Bob Bergen as Porky Pig/Tweety, Jim Cummings as Tasmanian Devil, Gabriel Iglesias as Speedy Gonzales, and Candi Milo as Granny. Bergman and Bauza will also voice additional roles.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, and Los Angeles Sparks forward Chiney Ogwumike are all expected to make cameos.

Malcolm D. Lee (Night School) is directing and Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) is producing the upcoming sequel, which will star the 6x NBA Finals runner-up James in the lead role, doing his best to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Michael Jordan, a.k.a. the greatest basketball player of all-time, who starred in the original 1996 classic.

Space Jam: A New Legacy bounces into theaters and on HBO Max on July 16.

Welcome to the Jam! Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of profes-sional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the high-est-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

@dracula - Agreed. It keeps getting worse and worse. Should of never made a sequel or made a sequel with Kobe and/or MJ.

@dracula - I actually think it’s going to be pretty good, I haven’t seen anything yet that makes me think it’s going to be utter trash.

No way they have half as much personality as the Monstars

Out of the full slate of Theater/HBO Max releases none of have been great. Godzilla vs. Kong was enjoyable for the fights but overall it was a mess with it's story telling. Mortal Kombat was only enjoyable whenever SubZero washed somebody. This looks irritating already.

The fact that Bron couldn't get more HIGH PROFILE SUPERSTARS may hurt this aspect.

The Monstars had personality.

The MonStars were funny, and well designed characters that fit perfectly within the Looney Tunes aesthetic. These players don’t even look like they’re from the same movie and the personality isn’t there. Not to mention I doubt they will be as present of villains as the MonStars were in their movie.

This crap is gonna suck so hard.

Pepe Le Pew not aloud in the movie but The Clockwork Orange gang who actually broke into a house and raped a woman in their movie are in it in a crowd shot.

Same goes for Pennywise The Clown he terrifies kids in It but he is perfectly fine.

"Wet-Fire" sounds like something that happens if you go jogging after Chipotle.
