Early box office tracking for
Detective Pikachu is pointing to the first live-action Pokemon movie being a huge hit when it's released in May, and you'd best believe that will lead to this world expanding hugely under the purview of Legendary Pictures.
Now, another TV spot has been released and this one features some great new footage as the titular detective delivers plenty of snark while accompanying Tim (Justice Smith) on his mission to find out what happened to his father. It's hard to say what Mewtwo has to do with that, but the studio has done a great job of building intrigue around the movie in recent months.
We can expect the marketing campaign for this one to really ramp up in the coming weeks and it wouldn't be at all surprising if we got another trailer (
The Pokemon Company has already released some very cool trading cards) at some point in April.
