Nintendo Drops Breathtaking Trailer for Switch Pokemon RPG Titles Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee

Gen I fans rejoice as Nintendo Switch titles Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee deliver a stunning trailer revisiting the Kanto adventures of your childhood, on the big screen.

It looks like 20 years of waiting is going to pay off! After much unease and debate over what direction Game Freak is planning to take with their Switch installment of the beloved Pokémon series in, it was revealed today that not only will we be receiving the 8th generation of the core franchise in 2019, but first we will see two titles with adventures rooted in Generation I, which will be sure to please long time fans of the series, and thanks to Gamespot, we've got loads of details already.

Slated for a November 16, 2018 release date, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! will take players back to Kanto, where it all began. These games look to be very similar to what players experienced in Red, Blue, or more particularly, Yellow, but there are also elements in this game which are directly from Pokémon Go, such as the Catch Mechanics, and as evidenced by the trailer below, CP. What's more, you can even import pokémon that you've caught in Pokémon Go to your game via Bluetooth, where you then have an opportunity to capture them. This system only works one way, however it was confirmed by director and producer Junichi Masuda in the announcement that any shinies you try to transfer will stay shiny in your Let's Go game.

Perhaps one of the most thrilling prospects for fans about these games will be the opportunity to play a Pokémon game on console with their friends, but apart from simply battling one another, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are going to allow fans to play couch co-op. This function will allow a friend or family member to drop into your game and adventure and battle alongside you, and you can even catch pokémon together, meaning parents can help their kids get into the titles while also riding their nostalia, or friends can choose to work together to overcome obstacles.

So what do you think? Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! hit stores on November 16, 2018, but in the meantime, check out the trailer below and then hit the comments to let us know your thoughts!
