ANT-MAN 3: Michelle Pfeiffer Confirms Return As Janet Van Dyne; Reveals When Shooting Begins

Ant-Man revealed that Janet Van Dyne was trapped in the Quantum Realm, and the sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp, saw Hank Pym finally bring her home. There was something strange about the former Wasp, though, and she clearly came back from that reality with some crazy new powers.

That's almost certainly going to be addressed in Ant-Man 3, and actress Michelle Pfeiffer has now confirmed on Ladies First with Laura Brown that she will return for Peyton Reed's threequel.

"I'm supposed to do Ant-Man, the third one," Pfeiffer said when asked about upcoming projects.

Pfeiffer then revealed that she believes production will start in the spring of 2021, a sign that the film could be released in theaters as soon as 2022. That means we shouldn't have too long to wait until we get to see Kang the Conqueror make his long overdue debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for where Ant-Man 3 will find Janet, the actress responded only with, "I don't know."

It's been rumored that the hotly anticipated threequel will also introduce the Young Avengers, potentially making it one of the most important films released by Marvel Studios during Phase 4. The Quantum Realm will almost certainly be explored, too, especially after what happened in Avengers: Endgame.
