Forget everything you know about the Marvel Cinematic Universe because Marvel Studios is about to change the game yet again with Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and the Wasp, which will see the return of both Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) as they embark on an all-new cinematic adventure that may or may not give us some of the answers we've been seeking since the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War.

The latest TV spot plays up the Infinity War and cinematic universe angle before providing a slightly extended look at a funny new scene between Scott and his old crew (Michael Peña, T.I., David Dastmalchian)

Watch the "Universe" TV spot below:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Ant-Man and the Wasp features:
Director: Peyton Reed
Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man

I love this. Super excited to see this movie.
And that’s obviously the point of the commercial, they’re being funny about coming out after Infinity War.
It’s great.
I like how Marvel doesn’t take itself too seriously and knows how to have fun when it’s time to have fun. That’s what Ant-Man and the Wasp is all about. It’s the fun summer movie.
Can’t wait!

While I loved Ant-man and I’m sure I will love this it kinda sucks that they keep releasing the gear after after core avengers movies as it kinda diminishes the impact. The first came out right after Age of Ultron and bc off that felt kinda anticlimactic and I’m worried after Infinity War this will get the same fart in the wind reception

@Ha1frican - Yep. Not just the same year, but only a couple of months after. I guess it's intended as a palette cleanser, but it does still means Ant-Man flies under the radar in a way that even Doctor Strange doesn't.

I wonder does this take place after, before our during Infinity War. For some reason I believe it happens during or before and at the end the snap happens and some characters are dust.

@shadearts - this happens suring Infinity War, but i believe during the final sequence scott and hope will be in the quantum realm and therfore not affected by the snap so when they come out the world will be in chaos.
