After a little over three months of filming, Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, has officially wrapped, per director Peyton Reed. Filming began last August at Marvel's favorite filming destination, the Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia. However, not much is known about the sequel, which hits theaters on July 6, 2018.  That's probably because it will be the first MCU film after Avengers: Infinity War and releasing detailed info about the sequel could potentially contain spoilers.

What little we do know comes from the casting additions of Hannah John-Kamen, who plays the villainous Ghost, Michelle Pfeiffer, who appears as the first Wasp- Janet Van Dyne and Laurence Fishburne,  who will portray Bill Foster, better known as Black Goliath aka Giant Man to Marvel readers. Paul Rudd has previously confirmed that whatever happens in Infinity War, Scott Lang will still be a fugitive criminal Raft escapee as a result of the events of Captain America: Civil War.

WHAT'S THE PLOT? A POPULAR FAN THEORY SAYS GHOST AND BLACK GOLIATH HAVE TIES

Another key casting addition that may tip Ant-Man and the Wasp's plot was Walter Goggins signing up to play Sonny Burch. While that name probably doesn't ring any bells, Burch is actually a character from the comics, a key exec at Cross Technologies, the same firm started by Corey Stoll's Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket in the first Ant-Man film. With no official synopsis supplied by Marvel yet, there are a number of fan theories floating around forums and message boards but there's one that seems to keep showing up.

This theory speculates that Bill Foster and Ghost will actually be father-daughter in the film, as a counter to Hank and Hope's relationship. Bill will be a former colleague of Hank, who also worked on the Pym Particles but a disagreement led to a split in their working relationship. Years later, Cross Technologies and Hydra (remember, a Hydra agent got away with a vial of Cross'particles) capture Foster and his daughter, forcing them to work on perfecting Cross' formula. Foster's daughter then dons the Ghost armor to steal the materials they need to complete the work.

Take this with a grain of salt but it certainly sounds plausible.  Hopefully, Marvel reveals some details soon, but the focus currently is on  Black Panther and Infinity War, which both hit theaters before the sequel.
