Ant-Man has been on quite the journey. Announced before even Iron Man was released, it was constantly delayed as Edgar Wright worked on his Cornetto Trilogy (keeping the character out of The Avengers as a result). When the filmmaker did finally start putting together the Marvel movie...well, it's fair to say that by this point, we all know how that story turned out!

Marvel obviously didn't abandon the movie though, as Yes Man director Peyton Reed took over from Wright while star Paul Rudd and Anchorman's Adam McKay got to work rewriting his and Joe Cornish's screenplay. Now, the movie which brings Phase 2 to a close is finally here.

Considered another "risk" for Marvel, critics have responded well to Ant-Man and it's poised to open with a similar amount to Phase 1 movies like Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor.

That's no bad thing!

So, not movie is in theaters, how would you rate it? You can cast your vote on that in the poll below, and once you've done that, make sure you let us know your thoughts in the comments section. For those of you who haven't seen Ant-Man yet, you might want to avoid scrolling that far down...in fact, why are you even reading this? Go see it! The rest of you can get voting.

This movie was AWESOME!

Not only humorous, also a lot of deep emotion, high drama, and Easter Eggs galore.

This is one of my all-time favorite Marvel Studios films.

Good movie. Can't wait to see more of Ant-Man in action and the introduction of Wasp. I think Lily will own the role. Now time to clear my mind of all things Marvel cause were not getting another movie from them till May 2016.

Fantastic movie. It's definitely one of those films you've got to see in IMAX 3D. My favorite moment was probably Ant-man's fight with The Falcon. So unexpected yet amazing!

Good to know that almost everyone here is eating it up so far. I expected this to be a very divisive movie, especially here.

Marvel does it again ! I really enjoyed this movie and I hope that it does well at the box office so Marvel and other CBM movies continue to take risks and don't rely on the same old Spiderman and Batman type of characters. There's such a huge library of characters and I feel that if movies like this are successful then it will benefit everyone.

Great movie. I want to be Ant-Man. Easily one of the best origin movies in the MCU.

also, the fight with Falcon was interesting for a couple of reasons:
1) now we know Falcon's fighting style when it comes to ground threats.
2) he still has his mini-machine guns instead of something more kid-friendly like lasers or non-lethal weaponry. his new costume may be more colorful, but he's still packing heat!

I've gotta say, I'm still burnt about Hank and Jan being Ant-Man and Wasp in this but at least there's a chance that Hank & Jan could show up as auxiliary Avengers aka consultants and still play MAJOR strategic roles in Avengers Infinity War.

I was bitter about the handling of this movie Marvel giving Edgar Wright to much juice, only mainly cuz of it being Edear Wright and he being the only one really pushing for an Ant-Man movie at the time. Now hearing how good this has turned out, I'm actually happy about it, I almost wanted this movie to because of Scott Lang being the lead and no Janet Van Dyne.

Marvel Studios did it AGAIN, and proved people wrong AGAIN. At any other studio like Fox or Sony, this movie would have flopped hard.
