Haven't seen the movie. Not going to read the article. Just dropped in to say, I hope it's good

@Imfunnyhow - I have the opposite "problem". I for some reason don't see movies in the theATRE anymore. I just read recaps on them lol. It's partly because I live in Philly and every theatre here sucks. So I'd have to travel 30 mins to the nearest movie tavern to get a decent experience. But I really want to see Spider-Man, Aquaman, that new movie about the guy who got hit on the head and has mental issues now, and I woulda saw Predator too. But I simply don't go to the movie theatres or make the effort to unless it's a MCU movie.

And it's not that MCU movies are the only good ones. Hardly. It definitely is some type of spoiled programmed thing for me though. I am programmed to see every MCU movie in the theatre but the idea of getting off my ass, driving, and paying for two tickets for any other 'ol movie seems like such a bother. I recognize it's a strange strange problem I have but I wonder if anybody else can relate... ?

So while I haven't seen Aquaman yet, I got the score and I'm listening to it now. Aside from the original scores, man is it beautiful and with some unique sounds to it too. Though Arthur's theme sounds like something out of Ragnarok.

@DnA - The score is pretty good IMO. I will say the soundtrack has a couple of songs they put in the movie that kinda stuck out....

Meant to say original songs* not scores

@JoeMomma29 - Yea I don't like the Skylar Grey and Pitbull songs. I'm guessing the former is used in the end credits. It's a nice attempt but for comparison sake, To Be Human by Sia for Wonder Woman was really good (that song got plenty snubbed IMO).

I know it's not an original song but I would have preferred this

@DnA - The score had some weird musical choices that were sometimes kind of cringy when put in context of the film. My opinion. But it wasn't necessarily a bad score.

@DnA - I actually like both songs, I personally had not issue with them in the movie at all. Though I can see how that bothered some people

@DnA - Some of the score is good, but I don't think it worked well in conjuction with the film.

I like Rupert Gregson-Williams, but he really dropped the ball on a lot of this.
But I like Steven Price and Danny Elfman, too, and their DCEU scores were not up to their usual standards.

I guess you work with what you've got.
