Wonder what stories they will take from, not much of Geoff Johns run they can take from left. Maybe take inspiration from Death Of A Prince and the Dan Abnett run

As long as he keeps hamming it up I'm ok with whatever they're doing, Orm was such a delicious ham and cheese sandwich in comparison to the previous boring guys in grey armor.

@Spidey91 - what a coincidence - i went the completely opposite way hahaha

@OptimusGrime - what can I say, I love me some pompous self-righteous villain. Not to mention the guy went full JoJo with his body language, which is always a plus.

@Spidey91 - yeah listen - i felt it worked for the first instalment mostly..and there were obviously some darker undertones with the whole boat monsters etc...but i kinda want to see more of that...just less of the "permission to board" (cue cheesey music/sound effect) crap hahahah

@Spidey91 - Hammy villains are fun, like really its a movie with a giant octopus playing drums, if you cant have fun working on that, you have the wrong job

@OptimusGrime -
"Permission to come aboard"
*guitar riff*
*dramatic close up*

Not gonna lie, that was some Fast and Furious sh*t. Which hey, Wan did one of those so makes sense.

@Spidey91 - true dat. Suppose it was a nice pallet cleanser after the Justice league travesty

@OptimusGrime - two hours of Jason Momoa getting sh*tfaced would've been better than that LOL.

I hope the sequel is slightly less cheesey...more gritty. Black Manta to step up massively i hope

@campblood - Yeah, which I thought was a bit odd since his helmet seemed to be metal, but the movie was so crazy in aspects you just kind of shrugged and went with it.

I was pretty disappointed with Orm as a character, though Wilson gave an hammed up and engaging performance.

I'll say, I hope the sequel tries to be less Ragnarok wannabe and more original.

I was not impressed by the first film, and whatever people liked about Orm was lost on me (coming from someone who knew nothing of the character going in.). Truthfully, none of the characters did much for me, but at least Mamoa has enough presence to make himself interesting to watch.

Fingers crossed that Wan goes all out and introduces radical ideas like:

- Having an actual script
- Directing his actors
- Transitioning into action scenes without a surprise explosion

Didn’t like the first one at all. It was a children’s cartoon. Black Manta looked like a Power Ranger villain. I have no interest in a sequel, especially since WB has no idea what direction they want to take their characters.
