There are a number of big DC Comics movies on the way over the next few years, and while Marvel often dominates the "News" tab here on CBM, don't fret, because we have another great roundup of fresh details about Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe today.

That also includes a certain horror director talking to the studio about helming a future DC movie!

In case you missed them, we also have some amazing BTS photos from Crisis on Infinite Earths

Jason Momoa May Be Involved With Aquaman 2 Creatively

AM

Aquaman 2 is still a long way off, but Jason Momoa is already getting ready for the sequel. Now, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor has teased a "way bigger" film than the first instalment and says "There’s a lot more in store on so many more levels. There’s going to be a lot. It’s way bigger!"

"I’m really stoked at the fan base and what we did with the movie and just went into Warner Bros in D.C. and said, ‘You know, I have some ideas,’" he went on to reveal about how he's possibly taking on a bigger role on the sequel than just star. "And, they love them and James [Wan, director] and everyone is like, ‘We’re all taking it in. We’re excited to do another one.’"

We know Momoa is a big supporter of the "Snyder Cut" so perhaps he's pushing Warner Bros. to finally release that too. You're probably better off not getting your hopes up, though!

Mike Flanagan Almost Directed A DC Movie

Mike Flanagan is currently doing the rounds to promote Doctor Sleep, but it turns out that he landed the job after meeting with Warner Bros. about potentially helming a DC Comics movie.

In the video above, the filmmaker explains that he believes that meeting is what led to him landing the directing gig for the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's sequel to The Shining

Residents Of The Bronx Aren't Happy With Joker Fans

Joke23

One of Joker's most memorable scenes features Arthur Fleck dancing down some steps to the tune of Gary Glitter's "Rock And Roll Part II." The filming locations for that - a set of stairs in the Highbridge neighbourhood of the Bronx - has become a tourist attraction, and local residents are already sick of comic book fans heading there for photo opps and getting in their way.

"We hope it ends soon because we don't need this," one lifelong resident told the Gothamist. "We feel disrespected." City officials are reportedly hoping that this increased number of visitors will help the neighbourhood, but locals claim they just take their photos and leave.

"Understand that it is not just selfies and hashtags," another resident said "Understand that people live in those places and that you just taking a picture is gonna have an impact in that community." It's hard to imagine what harm they're really doing, but given the popularity of Joker, it's highly unlikely that the number of visitors heading to these steps will die down any time soon!

Taika Waititi On Joining Task Force X In The Suicide Squad

Taika1

Last month, The Suicide Squad writer and director James Gunn shared the full cast list for the DC Comics adaptation. One of the most surprising names on that was Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi, and while the filmmaker and actor wouldn't reveal who he's playing, he did shed some light on how he ended up joining the DC Extended Universe.

"We're mates and James said, 'Come and do this thing,'" Waititi tells WIRED. "James is brilliant, and it's just such a crazy big list of people. But I have no idea what any of them are doing."

Jason Momoa Weighs In On Zoe Kravitz Playing Catwoman

Zoe

You may not have realised this, but Zoe Kravitz is actually Jason Momoa's step-daughter! During the same interview we kicked this post off with, the actor was asked for his thoughts on that and revealed that he's given her some advice about joining The Batman as iconic DC Comics character Catwoman.

"That’s actually the first thing I said to her -- ‘Your life’s going to change,’" Momoa said. "I’ve been hiding for a good solid 18 years and all of a sudden, Aquaman happened and boom! So, that’s the one thing I don’t even know if I’m prepared for -- she’s going to be huge. She’s beautiful, she’s talented. She’s going to kill it and [I’ll be like], ‘Well, welcome to the team baby!’"

It's awesome to hear him say that, and he's clearly rooting for her to succeed here.

Crisis On Infinite Earths Behind The Scenes Photos

While he's wearing the Kingdom Come costume from the comics, the prevailing theory is that Brandon Routh is playing the same version of the Man of Steel we saw in Superman Returns

This photo might confirm that as we learn Clark Kent has become The Daily Planet's E-i-C!

Look who's back! Jonah Hex first appeared in Legends of Tomorrow and he's clearly someone the team will be recruiting during this crossover. With any luck, that will land him in the present day on a permanent basis (fans have been anxious to see him join the team for a while now as well).

He's baaaack! Wearing an outfit bound to be familiar to fans of Smallville, Tom Welling will indeed reprise the role of Clark Kent and...well, time will tell whether he also suits up as Superman.

One thing we do know is that Michael Rosenbaum has said "no" to playing Lex Luthor again.

A post shared by Brandon Routh (@brandonjrouth) on

We've obviously seen Superman meet the Flash (on both the big and small screens), but it's hard not to get a kick out of seeing the Fastest Man Alive standing alongside both the classic version of the Man of Steel and the much older, Kingdom Come Supes played by the Superman Returns star.

We haven't been able to confirm whether this is real or fake, but evidence is mounting that we will also visit the world of Tim Burton's Batman during Crisis on Infinite Earths. As you can see, an Easter Egg will seemingly be included which reveals what happened next in this Caped Crusader's life.

Alex Danvers is openly gay and so is Batwoman, so their first meeting promises to be a lot of fun for fans of the characters. Whether there will be any romantic chemistry between them remains to be seen, but you have to believe that there are a lot of people out there shipping this particular duo.

Brandon Routh will be suiting up as Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths, but that doesn't mean Ray Palmer also won't have a role to play. As you can see, time-travel will somehow factor into the event and it's then that we'll come face to face with Ray as we knew him when he was part of Arrow

This incredible group shot not only brings together a number of iconic superheroes, but it also offers a first look at Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, a scientist whose planet was saved by The Monitor.

Something that's really attention grabbing here, though, is the inclusion of Black Lightning!

A post shared by Cress Williams (@cress_williams) on

Talking of Black Lightning, his adventures are obviously set in a universe separate to the one inhabited by characters like Green Arrow and the Flash. Well, he's entering this world in a huge way for Crisis on Infinite Earths and, as you can see in this set video, he's taking charge of the Waverider!

Things aren't looking good for Green Arrow, and considering the fact that his series is set to reach its end this year, common sense says that he'll be making the sacrifice once intended for the Flash. It seems appropriate that Oliver Queen will make a Tony Stark-style exit in the event, though.

Cress Williams is clearly having a blast getting to meet up with his fellow superheroes, and that's evident from this photo of him and Grant Gustin. Seeing how the vigilante interacts with these larger than life characters promises to be a lot of fun, and it looks like he fits right in.

A post shared by Tala Ashe (@talaashe) on

Shared by Legends of Tomorrow star Tala Ashe, this behind the scenes photo offers another great look at the comic accurate suit Brandon Routh will be wearing when he returns as Superman.

This may also confirm that he spends quite a bit of time with the time-travelling Legends.

Lois Lane meets Lois Lane in this recent behind the scenes photo, and given how different Erica Durance and Elizabeth Tulloch's interpretations of the character are, it's obviously going to be great fun seeing how they interact. After all, we know they're both extremely strong-willed.

We never expected to see Superman in the Arrowverse, but that changed in Supergirl a few years ago and we now have two of them! There will, of course, be a third but no one is really expecting Tom Welling to don the iconic costume after the way things played out in the Smallville finale.

A much better look at Tom Welling as Clark Kent, he's pictured here alongside his Arrowverse counterpart and that Man of Steel's version of Lois Lane. It looks like we'll visit Kent Farm and catch up with the Smallville lead, but, once again, we remain unsure whether he'll see any action.

"We hope it ends soon because we don't need this"

But why not doing something like what people at every touristic city in Europe do? Turn it into a touristic spot! Sell merchandise! Make money out of it! I mean, it's not like you can prevent people from going there anyway, so it's a sensible middle-ground solution

@Franshu - It's in the middle of flipping NYC...one of the most touristed (made up word I think) cities in the world! Boohoo! It's not BFE we're talking about. To your point, get out there and take photos for people, make up some bootleg t-shirts, or something. If anything, the uptick in people visiting is preventing local miscreants from hanging around the area and being up to no good.

@Franshu - Because if you fly-over country bumpkins want to spend a couple of thousand dollars to look at some steps the least you can do is walk to them instead of congesting traffic worse for the rest of us that actually have places to go.

They're really trying to turn any single tiny negative thing about Joker into newsworthy material aren't they? They sound so desperate now, its pathetic...

This is just another false flag attempt by the media to try and discredit Joker because it portrays them in a bad light.

First the media try and actively encourage another shooting and spread fear of another shooting occuring and now when that does not happen and the message of Joker is about having a society that cares for others they are trying to attack the fanbase to belittle them or make them hate others.

The media can frick right off with this bs.

It's a bad neighborhood so it actually might get more people robbed since there's a lot of easy targets running around and iffy police presence.

I have to pinch myself any/every time I see BR in the Kingdon Come Super-suit. Never thought I'd see him as Superman again. Was so excited to see the Superman Returns sequel.....was bummed beyond belief when it got cancelled ! But to see him back ……...and in a comic-accurate costume.....tis just too much !

Cannot wait to check out these episodes ….gonna be somethin else!

"comic book fans heading there for photo opps"

People are so lame. I'll never understand the obsession some people have with taking photo opps at a location simply because a movie scene was filmed there. So lame.

A lot of good stuff summarized in here! First of all the people bitching about other's coming to their neighborhood and taking pics: have they seriously never left home? You go to a place and snap a few pics for the memories, it's the whole point of a trip! And tourism helps local economy, where they expecting to receive the money directly? lol!
"You may not have realised this, but Zoe Kravitz is actually Jason Momoa's step-daughter!" I did not realize this, cool! But wasn't she already "known" after Xmen, the Mad Max movies? Not being picky, just was wondering Jason's statement.
Erica Durance still looks hooot!
