Road To INFINITY WAR: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Concept Art Features Hel Demons, Baron Strucker, HYDRA, More

This new batch of Avengers: Age of Ultron concept art features on the movie's villains, including Baron Strucker, his HYDRA army, Ulysses Klaue, demons from the Asgardian Hel, Ultron, and much more...

Following in the footsteps of The Avengers was never going to be an easy task but with Joss Whedon back at the helm, Avengers: Age of Ultron gave it a good try back in 2015. Introducing new heroes and a terrifying villain in the form of Ultron, the sequel brought an awful lot to the table and generated a lot of excitement among fans. While Thanos will no doubt be an even more formidable threat in Infinity War, we're now taking a look back at the movie by sharing some incredible concept art.

We've taken a look at a lot of different pieces from the movie recently but now it's the turn of the bad guys! Ultron may have been the lead villain but he was surrounded by a lot of different characters, including the sinister Ulysses Klaue and Baron Strucker's HYDRA forces. Oh, and demons from Hel!

Here, we take a look at all of those and more including various weapons, that awesome shot of The Avengers leaping into action, and Vibranium. All you need to do to check them out is click either one of the buttons below for the full list of artwork. Once you've done that, share your thoughts below.

Hel's Demons

Thor's vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron was borderline nonsensical but it's thought that will be addressed in Infinity War this year. Here, we see the mysterious Hel demons who plagued the hero.

These takes are even more out there and it's a shame Thor: Ragnarok didn't run with some of these concepts considering the fact Hela is supposed to rule over the Asgardian realm known as Hel.

Baron Strucker

As you can see, Marvel clearly had a very specific look in mind for Baron Strucker from the start and it's a shame he was never given the chance to develop and was instead used as a throwaway villain.

Ultron's Sentries Rise

This is a very cool visual as we get to see Ultron's sentries rising from the waters of Sokovia and making the climb to land as the villain looks to use them to slow down Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Avengers Assemble!

One of the coolest shots in Age of Ultron came when the heroes all jumped into action against HYDRA's forces and what's interesting about these concepts is that the first is Joss Whedon's sketch!

Baron Strucker's HYDRA Goons

Here, we see some designs for the powered up Hydra goons The Avengers squared off with and some of them look very robotic. That was no doubt ditched because of Ultron's appearance later on.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Break Bad

These are former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents now under the employ of HYDRA and, as you can see, they're all still wearing their uniforms after the spy agency's fall in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Vibranium

We'll no doubt learn a lot more about Vibranium in Black Panther next month but here we see some early designs for the indestructible metal in its liquid form before Ultron steals it.

Ulysses Klaue

Just like Vibranium, we'll see more of Klaue in Black Panther but these early designs show him looking very much like a mercenary from South Africa probably would and his tattoos are very cool.

HYDRA Tanks

Joss Whedon needed to give The Avengers something powerful to square off with and that included some extremely formidable tanks for The Hulk to tear into which you can see some versions of above.

More HYDRA Weaponry

HYDRA's downfall began in Captain America: The Winter Soldier but this movie showed just how powerful they were under Strucker's reign before the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. took them down for good.

What's Going On Here?

Could this be one of HYDRA's test subjects? It's hard to say for sure but it definitely looks like the underground lair Tony Stark discovered in the movie before he crossed paths with the Scarlet Witch.

Ultron's Creation

Here, we get a very creepy look at the creation of Ultron (or his sentries; it's hard to say for sure) and an argument could definitely be made that this is cooler than what ended up on screen.
