. "I’d love to see a fiercely motivated Wolverine going up against Thanos,"

Yeah? I'd love to see this...

Talking about Wolverine again? Yeah, they definitely want to direct a Wolverine film for Marvel/Disney in the near future. If they do for him what they did for Captain America, I'm game. I'd take that over another Deadpool film.

@Humperdink - Yeah I hear you. Them getting their hands on any X-Men story and treating it with the respect and dignity it deserves would be awesome. Imagine if they fleshed out Scott Summers or Storm like they did even for Black Panther. It would be incredible. The Fox universe at least tried with Wolverine and Rouge. But all other X-Men really got the short end of the stick IMO.

Damn. That thumbnail gave me Hope's of seeing Cyclops in some timeline just being a badass, interacting with that time's Avengers.

The odds of only Wolverine surviving the snap would be really poor. Almost as poor as all 6 of the original Avengers surviving it...
sickboy76
sickboy76 - 8/15/2019, 4:30 AM
@CorndogBurglar - 50% of all the mutants would survive
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/15/2019, 10:40 AM
@sickboy76 - Yeah, I know. Which means that depending on the size of the X-Men team, only having 1 survivor would be really bad odds.

Even if its only 6 members. You mean to tell you'd take those odds in Vegas? 5 out of 6 people getting dusted even though there's a 50% chance of mutants living or dying?

No way man...

@CorndogBurglar - it's the whole marvel hard on for wolverine that aggravates me. Movies or comics it's all BS!
sickboy76
sickboy76 - 8/15/2019, 1:30 PM
@CorndogBurglar - don't forget that they want that sweet wolverine merchandise money. Kids in wolverine masks and plastic claws.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/16/2019, 7:57 AM
@sickboy76 - For sure man, you're 100% right.

The worst thing that could have ever happened to Wolverine is him getting as popular as he did in the early 90's.

He used to be able to get poisoned, get taken out of fights indefinitely, and even die from injuries, even with his healing factor.

In fact, Claremont was set to kill off Wolverine exactly that way. The beginnings of it are even seen towards Claremont's end on the run before Lee took over. Wolverine's Healing Factor was slowly getting overloaded from all the punishment he was taking and he was starting to heal slower and slower. The plan was to kill him off pretty early due to his healing factor getting overloaded pretty early in the 90's X-Men run. When Lee took over he changed that.

But then around the 2000's his popularity was so bad that writers just started going crazy with him and making invincible. It totally screwed over the character. Before you know it he's getting burned all the way down to only his skeleton and healing from that lol.

sickboy76 - 8/16/2019, 10:28 AM
@CorndogBurglar - thing is becausehe was so "popular" they had him join the avengers team and sell out other mutants every opportunity he got. Glad they killed him, gutted they brought him back, made a big deal out of it whilst cyclops got one issue in form of an annual.
sickboy76
sickboy76 - 8/16/2019, 10:29 AM
@CorndogBurglar - ah you talking about second coming where they get hit by an air strike and only him and x23 get away.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/16/2019, 11:10 AM
@sickboy76 - Haha. Actually no. I was talking about the Wolverine Civil War tie in when Nitro causes an explosion and fries Wolverine. Just his skeleton was left. But he somehow managed to heal enough to catch up to Nitro and attack him before he could even make it out of the woods and into his car.

So dumb.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/16/2019, 11:12 AM
@sickboy76 - And yeah. I HATED that Logan sided with the Avengers during AvX. They were his family. Its ridiculous to think he would have sided against them.

And then when he blamed Cyclops so much for "militarizing teenagers". As if Wolverine isn't famous for taking teenage girls under his wing and training them to fight in their battles. Did he just suddenly forget about Jubilee and Kitty Pryde?

sickboy76 - 8/16/2019, 1:47 PM

So exciting to think that we will be getting a new Wolverine (with a costume) running around in this wonderful MCU. Would love to see a Chris Evans Captain America appearance in a World War 2 set scene (or entire movie) for the next new Wolverine solo movie.

TheUnworthyThor - 8/15/2019, 6:32 AM
@dragon316 - It’s okay to be very wrong. It happens to the best of us. I’ve been hearing this or that costume won’t work in the movies for 30 years and other than the female costumes that are little more than dental floss they’ve been wrong every time. That mask with look epic.

TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 8/15/2019, 6:33 AM
@kaethar - But are you still going to be sick of him in five years when the X-men movies start coming out? That’s a lot of real life time.
SpideyQuad
SpideyQuad - 8/15/2019, 4:28 AM
Cap can always come back. The super soldier serum coursing through his veins is capable of regenerating him under the right stimulation. He has been old before in the comics.
As for Iron Man, someone else would take over the manful or they could even take a comic book approach (no one in the comics they said forever, except maybe Capt. Marvel) and resurrect him down the road.
sickboy76
sickboy76 - 8/15/2019, 4:29 AM
Ugh really? Someone wants all that wolverine merch money they've been waiting on for decades.
If you want to be pedantic though, half the x men would survive no matter what, they're another species.
